Bali landscape&travel photography tour, 27 June – 3 July 2026

Ever wanted to combine perfect vacation destination with landscape&travel photography activities? The magical island of Gods – Bali offers this opportunity to you! As I moved to Bali this year and opened my travel agency here I welcome you to explore it with me. From hidden waterfalls and quiet villages of the East and North Bali to seascapes of Nusa Penida island. This workshop is primarily focused on nature photography. Imagine staying in Luxury hotel in the jungles or resort at the sea and learning photography from me! Including in-field tuition and in-room practice of editing, critique sessions, and just fun in a great company of fellow artists!
Bali island has a lot to offer – rice terraces, hidden waterfalls, seascape photography and rich Hindu culture with beautiful traditions.

Why June? Because it is the best season to visit Bali island. We have chosen special dates – right during Galungan holidays! These celebrations are most colorful in Bali. Our local guides know the best spots to see the ceremonies for best travel and street photography too!

The rain season is over giving opportunity for wonderful sunrises and moreover it is a month of cultures and ceremonies. Most of the streets will be decorated with colorful poles – Penjor! And people will be beautifully dressed visiting temples.

Please note that this tour is guided by local English speaking professional guides – Stanley Aryanto and Agung Odi. Daniel is not present himself guiding this particular tour although he created and setup this tour together with this local team with all his heart and soul.

Day 1, JUNE 27

Arrival to Bali on any flight. Our driver will pick you up and transfer to our beautiful hotel in the East of Bali. In the evening we have welcome dinner together. We use absolutely wonderful hotels located in quiet nature areas of Bali away from all the traffic.

Day 2

Our first sunrise we meet at spectacular rice terraces of  Pulagan Tampaksiring with a view to magnificent Mount Agung. Bali sunrises are like no other and this morning you have a chance to prove in in person!

On the way back to hotel we photograph the most amazing streets with Penjor poles.

Our sunset location will be lake Batur in Kintamani! With colorful boats and temples and volcanoes on backdrop.

Day 3

Visiting hidden villages in the East of Bali to witness a beautiful Rejang dance and traditional cultures.

Day 4

Surise at Pinggan Jati temple at Lake Batur or at Tamblingan lake and temple. In daytime we visit one of the hidden waterfalls in the North of Bali! At many locations we will invite locals with traditional dress to be our models.

Day 5

Sunrise at calm Ulun Danu Beratan – one of my personal favorite temples in Bali! Surrounded by flowers and embraced by morning fog with singing of the birds.

After the breakfast let’s visit smaller waterfalls in jungles.

In the afternoon we will have a stage photoshoot at the ancient tree, where we can bring Balinese models in traditional outfit.

For sunset we will experience Jatiluwih rice terraces. With small huts and people working in the fields it has a special Balinese atmosphere.

Day 6

We will meet the first rays of light in the north of Bali with such spectacular views to Mount Agung and vast rice terraces. Easily accessible viewpoint surrounded by flowers offering variety of foregrounds. After sunrise we visit canyon waterfall, and around 9-10 a.m. we might see golden rays piercing the atmosphere.

In the afternoon we will have stages with traditional Balinese culture.

Stanley Aryanto

In a short 3 years, he won over 100 international awards, being published in magazines like Canadian Geographic, and exhibited all around the world.

Growing up in a struggling family where his parents used to earn $10/month working tirelessly round the clock away from home to make ends meet.

Stanley’s journey started in Bandung, Indonesia. Driven by status quo, culture and environment the only way he know how to be successful in life was to go to a good school get good grades, graduate and get a good job.

Now Stanley has helped thousands of photographers to pursue their passion in photography and to share/inspire others through his journey and adventures.

He moved to Australia to study engineering & got a big job working with metals for a huge company. Life seemed set. Comfortable paycheck, fancy things – he had it all. But deep down, he lost his passion in life.
